I'm torn.

Debating about my next rifle purchase. Weighing between 6.5 PRC or .300 PRC mostly for a moose bear elk /backup deer gun with some target shooting mixed in. I already have a 6.5 creed Winchester xpr in the safe. Planning on spending between 1-2k on rifle open to recommendations/ suggestions or even personal experience on the calibers

Then I’d rather go 300 prc. Out of those two. Since you got a creedmoor already.

The 300 prc is a great cartridge and fits your needs perfectly.
The 300prc is extremely accurate from my experience with my rifle. Factory ammo is great but the cartridge really shines if you reload.

How do you find the recoil from the PRC? I do plan on getting into reloading eventually. Baby steps right now.

My rifle has a brake on it so it’s very mild. Without the brake it’s no different then a 300win mag shooting heavy bullets
