I pulled out a few bricks of these oldies, never shot them before. Bought them of a fellow CGN'r a few months back. For those that have shot them, are they accurate? Going to run them through my GSG16.
Half were stored in less than ideal circumstances.
Brass was dark, bullet wax was crusty and white. Lots of smoke and started to gum up the rifle after a few mags.
The other half were well kept and shot fine with no issues. Wasn't anything remarkable about it either. Accuracy was average I guess. I do remember liking the smell as weird as that sounds.
I grew up with these in the '60's & '70's. Memory says they were all good. Many groundhogs in Ont. were killed by them.
Groups on target were OK, as I remember.
I shot 10's of thousand of them growing up and when my dad past away last year he had a stash of just about 20000. Looks like many more gophers will meet their end in the years to come from the Imperials once again. The price tag on them are from the Army Navy and were .79 cents a box, $7.90 per brick.
