I didn't think these were made anymore. Was in Crappy tire today looking around wasting time and noticed the ammo cabinet was stocked with Imperial shotgun shells. I bought one box thinking how cool it was that they were making them again but a little research on the internet tells me these are likely old stock. Not sure if I want to fire them now.

guess i should have searched here first. I did a google search and came up empty. Glad to see it is Canadian manufacture at least.

I am still going to shoot them. I have an appointment coming up for a night Raccoon shoot. Permit is all taken care of, 78' Remington Wingmaster is all shined and ready.

That 30 inch full choke barrel is deadly on the little suckers

Old Imperial shells arent exactly rare. Every gun show in Canada has boxes and boxes of them. Ive got a bunch of boxes that an older gentleman gave me when he gave up waterfowl hunting with the forced use of non-toxic shot.

Still, its cool to have made in Canada shotshells, and the boxes sure do inspire nostalgia.

I picked up two boxes of 200gr 308 Winchester Silvertips for $15 each at a show a couple years ago. They quite well actually, out to 200m. I dont know why Winchester doesnt make them still.
I havn't seen them available in 200 gr for years in stores, Most of the ammo at the shows around here sells for about the same price as new. Its hard to find a bargain. I have a couple boxes of Silvertips as well here, still in the old white box.

Ya went to my local Canadian tire today and they had the imperial shells as well. Both the grey box steel and the green box lead, bought some of the green box lead for pheasant season. checked the shells at home, challenger stamped on them . So the stuff there selling at Canadian tire is challenger in imperial clothing.

I usually can find at least one really good deal at a gun show on ammo. Last one I went to was a box of 180gr Nosler Partitions (308WIN) for $20
