Just a note that Swarovski have made some substantial changes to their riflescope line-up.

Swarovski have discontinued the entire Z5i, Z6 and Z6i line of riflescopes. They don't manufacture any of them anymore, and all previously available stock has now been depleted at Swarovski.

They have also sold out and discontinued several variants of the Z3 and Z5 riflescope models. They do still have some Z5 and Z3 models in stock and available.

I have not heard anything specifically as to which variants of the Z3/Z5 range will stay in production for now, but ultimately I would imagine we'd see a new line of riflescopes coming from Swarovski soon - most likely at SHOT Show or maybe at IWA.

As more details become available, I'll update you all.

Thanks.

Robbie

Thanks for the clarification mik123! I’m aware of the partnership of Kahles and Swaro. Owned ZCO, Kahles and Minox. I kind of meant as in another euro company throwing their hat into the ring. Imagine a lighter weight, F1 hunting design with the newer wide angle eye piece design developed by swaro? 🤔

Agreed! Would be interesting to see where the other manufacturers go with field of view numbers. Word is a lot of them already have a “field stop” design in the eye piece in order not to infringe on the patent in the US

Swaro are busy with new product development in their hunting line, and given the complete discontinuance of 1" Z5 and Z5i and the 30mm Z6 and Z6i lines, I would imagine the new line of scopes to fill the gap the Z5 and Z6 will leave, with a new line of 30mm tube scopes...? We'll see what they announce in January.

I would not put money on Swaro doing FFP hunting scopes anytime soon again.... At low power (where you get the large field of view for close-up and brush/bush hunting) you have a hard time seeing the reticles clearly, and having to dial up the zoom so you see the reticle well, you lose field of view. So SFP scopes would always be more preferred by most hunters....especially on scopes that have a low magnification on the bottom side offering massive field of view.
