Happy New Year Shooters!

For the 2024 season and moving forward the Wild Rose Action Shooters have been absorbed into the Canadian Historical Arms Society. This was done due to rising insurance costs, material costs and etc.

What does this mean to you as the shooter? Nothing really, it’s mostly a name change. Matches will still be held at the CHAS range, south west of Edmonton. Match fees of $60 for the one day event will remain the same.

Our dates for 2024 are as follows;
April 13
July 20
August 17
September 21

We are also working with the PRS rimfire director to coordinate the .22 matches for the Sunday after our matches to give more value to those who have to travel if they wanted to stay and shoot a rimfire match. The planning is in its preliminary stages so stay tuned for more.

Hope to see you on the range
Adam

Hey everyone! This being my first year trying to get out to some matches, how and when does registration open for each match?? I imagine it changes a little depending on who’s hosting? And anything I should know ahead of time? Thanks!

Where are you located? There might be more matches we can bring to your attention.

Matches will be posted on the CHAS Website (www.historical-arms.com ). We will be updating our Facebook page in the near future as well.
Registration is done through practiscore primarily. This helps us with knowing our match numbers so we can squad accordingly and etc, but walk ons are always welcome.

I’m in the Airdrie, AB area. And for the other response, is practiscore an app through the website? Thanks!

practiscore website would be the way you use it. The app is only for actively scoring matches, which you won't be doing as a beginner.

Some of the facebook groups you should join:
-SKAB PRC
-Medicine Hat Rifle and Revolver Club
-SAPRL (Southern alberta precision rifle league)
