Important lesson for kids

I just came home from a short range visit with Storm Jr after a morning work bee at EESA.

We decided to try some simple drills in preparation for the BB course in two weeks.

BOY did we come away with a lesson!!

Storm Jr was having one hell of a time drawing his P99 from his holster.....for the life of me I could not figure out what was wrong....

Then after some study of his methods I figured it out..

IT WAS HIS PANTS!!

As you have no doubt noticed....kids today all wear stupid damned baggy pants....with their crotch at their knees it seems some days.

Well..............Storm Jr had a pair of such pants.

When he went to draw.............the holster, belt etc just rode up!!! LOL!!!

I finally had to HOLD HIS BELT DOWN for him to be able to draw!!!

Now getting home I had him go through his closet to find a pair of pants that were suitable. For some reason I do not think that azone would be too thrilled being asked "gee can you hold my pants so I can draw".

ARGHH

Kids!!!

glad I never wore pants like that in my youth. plain ol' relaxed fit jeans (they were the only thing that I could get my legs into without them looking like they were painted on... the curse of being a powerlifter in highschool) and combat pants on exam days (most comfy thing to wear after a late night of cramming.) if everyone else could get away with pyjama pants, track pants, sweats or hospital scrubs, I was gonna wear my CF OD combat pants!

Nothing official.........

Just a few of us clearing out the Garage and some clearing of trees on the berms.

I don't suppose the approved Jane Jungle method of folding up a bandana in the inside of Storm Jr's pants would go over all that well either.

Stormbringer: Git your son a pair of BLACK MILITARY STYLE combat or swat pants.They should fit properly if you get a size that fits his waist , and they are a style his friends are wearing and they have lots of pockets for those empty mags and stuff. And in the summer some people wear the combat style shorts. You can get them in tan ,blue or black. Tan get dirty fast especially if you use some of the sooty powders, black or blue is the best for looking okay after a day of shooting. A large number of shooters seem to be wearing them because they are practical for the sport and it is practical pistol shooting.
