My wife arrived back home from the US last night with my Choate dragunof stock I ordered in Canada and had shipped to a US address.Before ordering it I had checked with the Federal firearms department when I registered my SKS-and was told the stock was not on any prohibited list and there would be no issue[there wasn't]I had also questioned Choate and they said it was a ''grey area'' and simply chose not to ship out of the US,but would ship to a US address and as an ordinary citizen I could pick it up and take it back with me.Total cost was $92 including shipping.
Brownells shipped my fiber optic sight combination-$40 for the sight,$15 for shipping UPS -and another $15 COD for the import fee.Shipping by mail would have been much simpler and cheaper-its such a tiny package.
