Importing a US antique NR rifle.

Anyone here recently imported a rifle that qualifies as US antique (pre 1899) but still falls under NR here (bolt action repeater).
I had a seller in the US mail one direct to me in Canada years ago and didn't have any hiccups, but not sure if things have changed, especially on the US side.
Anything currently stopping a US seller from mailing direct?

I think it depends on who you are dealing with. Some US auction houses will only ship antique firearms out of the country going through a licensed exporter. Some will ship using USPS.
