Just wondering if anyone here has bought/imported firearms via private sale from the UK and can share any valuable information on the topic. While the CBSA website was vague, the RCMP website stated this is legal provided I use a carrier company licensed under the Firearms act. Despite this I figured I'd better double check here first and see if there are any additional hoops I have to jump through: permits, fees, ridiculous duties etc. before considering a purchase. I've tried searching the forum but unfortunately the only results that turned up pertained to imports from the US which I imagine differ slightly.
