Hello All

Just wondering if it was legal to import AR-15 a2 style muzzle breaks, as well as things that front sight posts for an AR-15 that have the bayonet holder attached... How about collapsible stock for an AR-15?

I was wondering if even have you have ordered such items from the USA and if they got through...

The reason I ask is that USA laws no longer allow these items to be exported from there country attached to a rifle, but how about if you buy the parts latter, and then add them on after...

Our customs will not seize them I do not think, but will the stores in the states sell them to export them to us ok? anyone have some links of stores that export to us ok such products?

Thank to all that can help me.

Forget the US. But of all places England is opening up, and other sources will be Israel and China. Norinco is making M4 clones and so I can't see why we wouldn't have a bucket full of parts if you need them.

This is the Norinco...

Do you know which dealers here have those parts?

so you guys mean that the usa dealers won't even send me a lousy flash suppressor?

Any idea when the norinco ar-15 will be coming out?

Has anyone ever ordered these parts from the usa before and how did it go?

No gun part can be legally exported from the US, except by a licenced exporter, and only if the manufacturer is registered with the State Dept.
In addition to this, some gun parts do not need specific export permits, others do. Flash suppressors are specifically controlled. You must submit a Cdn. import permit to the US exporter, who would apply for an export permit. The State Department might or might not issue the permit.
There are no doubt US sellers who are ignorant of, or choose to ignore, the ITAR rules, just as there are Cdns who will take advantage of the situation.

Questar carries the PWS Flash Suppressing Compensator. Kinda looks like a comp with half a Vortex stuck on the front. I haven't tried mine at night, but video on the PWS website shows it working at least as well as an A2 birdcage. I replaced my Vortex with an FSC and it is the shzt !! The rifle barely moves in recoil. Offhand double taps at 50yds. are no problem. The Aimpoint dot barely budges. Pricey, and a bit noisy, but definitely worthwhile.

2x for Fabsports, I have dealt with him on numerous occasions, he is very fast and professional. And he just got in a bunch of Yankee Hill flash suppressors, they are extremely nice looking.
Tacshot used to carry flash suppressors, but he is now out of business. And has kept a few peoples money before closing without warning, including mine.

Anyhow, go check out what Fabsports has to offer, I guarantee you'll find something you like, and you won't pay more than 29 bucks for each flash suppressor.

This is your thread: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277873

The guy who runs Tacshot (ronin) is in a legal battle over his website and/or company name. The purchases I've made from him as recently as a couple weeks ago were smooth and quick. I dont know all the facts of what is happening but I don't think he is closing down.

Who knows what could have happened... maybe there is a computer seizure or some kind of activity prohibition relating to this, and maybe he doesn't have access to his customer info or even the web right now.

I would be upset if I were in your situation as well... but it might be a little soon to be assuming this will not be resolved.

To clarify,Ronin has been shut down as of 12:00pm sept 25th,he cannot access his customer info or do any business until the matter is resolved.None of the money orders were cashed but one emt was accepted the morning of the 25th and will be returned as soon as this is done.He is a stand up fellow and will surely make it up to his customers.
It is unfortunate, but his hands are tied right now.

That was my EMT on the 25th, order #167. I'll give you my contact info, and he can mail me a cheque. Then all is forgiven.
