Importing from outside of North America..

now I read through the importing rules from the states but my question is if i have my pal and Rpal what od i need to do or sign up and or fill out to import firearms/ ammunition/weapons from another country.

It's not going to be from the states..

Do I need to fill out any canadian paperwork or do i just register the firarms online when i make the purchase and than wait for them to arrive?

I do realize i have to follow the rules of other countries but im just wanting to know what i have to do on our own side ahead of time.
 
mostly affrica. been posting about it in the general forums but I didn't know what permits or import lisences that I need. this could be something for the legal forum but wasn't sure.
 
Most places will require a Canadian import permit to get their export permit, if the African country will even consider it. However, on our side, where it comes from doesn't matter. Go here.

This is the important part.
"Currently, you do not need an import authorization under Canadian law for non-prohibited firearms or firearm parts. However, you may need one to comply with the laws of the other country."
