Importing from the UK

I have had a search of this forum but can't find a definite answer.

My grandfather has left to me all of his reloading kit back in the UK. I would like to bring it back with me next time I am over there but wanted to know what the regs are for doing so.

It seems that's you can legally import it but my question is:

Do you need to have a PAL licence and declare it? Is there any rules regarding putting it in a suitcase and flying across with it?

Thanks guys

I am not aware of any issue with press, scales, dies and bullets. I have taken all this to the UK and back so I could load ammo while at Bisley.

But the explosive sniffer might go nuts.

Hmm, ok, I will check with the airline first then. Don't really want to be responsible for an evacuation of the airport.

Before I moved here I lived 500 metres from Bisley

I would think just box it up and ship it through regular post would be the easiest and cheapest option. No issues with regulations etc either unless the UK has export restrictions.

Just don't ship powder and primers and you should be fine.
