I am trying to import a specific ELCAN SPECTER DR 1-4x that belongs to me from the US to Canada. I realise there are no issues on the Canadian end, but am trying to figure out the best solution to safely export it from the United States to Canada legally. I have contacted prophet river, but was wondering if anyone had a similar experience with a successful military optic export from the US. Absolute worst case, there must be a way to export it to Canada for repairs right?!

I believe any of the import/export companies can help you move it across the border.

Since most or all rifle optics in the U.S. are classified under ITAR rules(International Traffic in Arms Regulations) or EAR(Export Administration Regulations) and cannot be exported from the U.S. without an export permit from the U.S. government an import/export company or a company that deals in exporting ITAR/EAR related products should be able to help you out.

Did you buy this optic from a business or individual in the U.S. and you're now trying to find a way to get it shipped legally to Canada?
