importing/owning 37mm artillary M3 gun

Legal to own but you will need to be CGD registered and import will probably be a large hassle. It is an NFA weapon in the States and it's questionable if you will get export authorization for it.

CGD allows (or used to anyhow) individual registration. I used to have it but let it lapse as I never ended up using it. Aside from a lot of paperwork it was easy and the CGD folks were pleasant and helpful.

Ah, I missed every utterance of "replica" in your original post sorry.

I think it would be a real stretch to call a replica artillery cannon an imitation or replica firearm. You'd likely get a lot of questions and harassment from the border guards (they like to pretend they know everything and are as invasive as the Gestapo) but ultimately should be completely legal.

This wouldn't happen to be one of Steve's gas-firing units would it?

If it is designed and constructed strictly for firing blanks, and cannot fire live rounds, then it isn't even firearm of any type.

But God alone knows what our glorious Protectors of the State would think of something like that.

Canadians? Owning a noisemaker? Gawd forbid! Next thing they'll want will be lower taxes or honesty in Parliament or some other impossibility!

That's awesome. Interestingly enough up here, aside from CGD registration, you'd be allowed to have a fully functioning one as far as I know. Most of the pieces I've seen are deactivated sadly, and even functioning ones are very difficult and expensive to reload for. I think coarse BP and custom lathed inert projectiles are the order of the day.

Break out welder...Im pretty sure you have one

cut-grind-weld-nearly chop a finger off

Ta Da!

making one strictly for appearance wouldn't be hard- I wanted mine to shoot as well
