Importing sako trg22 scope mount

Checked a few lower 48 dealer's websites with sako trg accesories, one would not export to Canada at all, the other would not export anything that attaches to a gun. Is it illegal to export a scope mount from the US? If not does anybody know who will do buisness with Canadian customers? Regards.
 
The problem is that under US/United Nations laws, anything deemed related to firearms or possible military use over $100 requires an export permit. Here's info on exactly that at Optics Planet: http://www.opticsplanet.net/export.html

Last year I wanted to buy a spotting scope from the US because it was unavailable here and I ran into the same issues; nobody wanted to send it to Canada. But there are those that will ship to a US address....

Hope that clears things up. I understand why you want to source that scope mount elsewhere; it's like a $500 part here in Canada. One of the reasons why I didn't buy a TRG myself....
