I recently came across some interesting militaria items in the USA, but I'm not sure if the items fall under ITAR or not. The dealer I would be ordering from offers shipping to Canada I should add. The items are:

- Bayonets
- Battlefield pickup AK handguards from the Bosnian War
- Bakelite pistol grips

Can anyone shed some light in terms of regulations for importing these items (if any exist that is)? Thanks in advance

None of those things are export controlled unless their value exceeds $500.

That said, many American sellers wont ship that stuff across the border b/c their laws are convoluted and their ATF is strict. The penalties for erring are measured in jail years, so most sellers are overly cautious.

If you deal with businesses like Liberty Tree Collectors or numrich arms, they know the rules far better than the average joe and will know what they can ship without a Form 6 application to the State Dept.
