I see HKparts.net has some of US made 9mm conversion parts in stock. Just curious as to the path you would take to importing stuff. Would I buy it and get it shipped to someone like Prophet River to handle the export? Or could I just get it shipped to a friend in the US and do up the paperwork myself since it's not a firearm and not a controlled part here?

I'm assuming the barrel probably wouldn't be allowed for export, it being 8" or so. Would I have a snowball's chance in hell of getting the bolt carrier and misc other parts out?

If it is a firearm part, it is controlled for export from the US. A conversion kit would be firearm parts so you cannot export it yourself. You cannot even apply for the paperwork.

You're best bet would be to work with someone who handles US parts exports like Prophet River (just one example). If it is doable, they can handle it for you.

Even barrels can be exported legally as long as the paperwork is all correct. Again, someone like Prophet River should be able to handle it all, as long as the original manufacturer of the kit/parts has their registration in order with the US DOS.
