Impressed with this load

I recently purchased a Ruger #1 from a member here. (Thanks again Morpheus32)
I finally got around to loading some ammo for it.
I hadn't loaded any .270 Win since about 1987, so decided to try the last load that I used for my old Ruger m77.

56 gr. IMR 4831
Win brass WLR primer
I used bulk Rem 130 gr bullets
Seated to 2.850" to ogive.
Here's the result from my new (to me) Ruger, and the Tikka T3 that my wife bought me for Valentine's Day this year.

The Tikka target is 7 rounds @100 meters, the Ruger target is 3 rounds @ 100 meters.
Funny thing is that the Ruger shot this load faster than the Tikka (2886 fps vs 2820 fps) from a barrel almost 2" shorter. CORRECTION: Barrels are both 22"

Nope: Only for "registered users" (of hunt101)

59 & 60 grain loads of H4831 with 130's are THE standard for the 270.
Not surprising it shoots.

The Ruger group was 1/2" (3 shots)
Tikka group was just under 1" (7 shots)

Slightly unfair to compare a three shot group with a five shot group, for many reasons. But that aside nice targets
