So this weekend a friend of mine was going to Calgary to take his son a Christmas present and he asked if I wanted to come along. I had nothing much else to do so I said yes. We hit the usual stores - Cabelas, Wholesale Sports, The Shooting Edge, and The Calgary Shooting Centre.

Then we were wondering if there were any other gun stores in the city. We looked in the yellow pages and found one called Pro Line Shooters so we decided to go have a look. Boy was that a mistake! They had an Uberti 1860 Army revolver in the display case. I asked to have a look at it and fell in love as soon as I had it in my hands. Needless to say I bought it. My buddy ended up with an 1862 Pocket Navy revolver as well. As it was Saturday we couldn't get the transfer done so they have to ship them to us. That sucks but what can you do?

This is my first black powder revolver so I guess technically I "needed" this gun for a all around balanced collection. That's what I told my wife anyway.

I must say that there were a very good group of people at Pro Line. Very friendly and answered all our questions. I will be visiting there every time I am in Calgary. Now I need a single action revolver to truly balance my collection.

Have one for my Pietta 1860 Sheriff. Lots of fun without the BP mess.

Congrats!

I have the same ´´Man with no namé´ revolver in .38 special, I love it, almost no recoil, very nice piece with the engraving spanish gallions on the barrell

The guys at proline are awesome. What I love about Calgary is that each store covers a different market and although proline has a bit of everything they are the go-to place for cowboy action and obscure older stuff. They also have a TON of stuff that isn't on display so don't be afraid to ask if you are on the hunt for something you don't see.

Pro line has been taking a lot of my money from me, it is the KING of kings store. I too found my self going home with the 1860 love it, but they also sold me the 1847 and that is shoot more. Only complaint I have is, they use to have consignments on top of consignments but I think the money is not in the consignments anymore. I really wish they bring more in because I really could not visit without bring something home. I think about 1/4 of collection is from Proline.

I think their problem with consignments has more to do with space than anything else. It's a tiny hole in the wall location which is both good and bad at the same time
