If by " shooting in the bush", you are referring to public land, do us all a favor and join a gun club. The mess that is left in the bush, broken birds, empty shell cases, etc. really annoys the public with good reason, and of course all gun owners get blamed for it.
Clay targets are not made of clay. Commonly available clay targets are a combination of limestone, petroleum pitch and fluorescent paint. They are toxic to pigs. In addition to the clay shards you are also leaving behind plastic wads in most cases.Clays are made from just that clay. They harm nothing by leaving them there. You are putting them back where they came from. All that there is to pick up is the shotgun hulls. If you have farmland to shoot on why would you pay to join a gun club??
