IMR 4831 and 270 win with 130 nosler partitions.

Anyone have a good recipe for IMR 4831 in 270 with 130 gr. partitions.

Yup 56-57 gr of IMR4831 in win or fed brass with LRMP ...............been using that for 40+ years.

I believe the pet load is 59gr. Your rifle will tell you where it's accurate, the brass when your going to high.

If you can't open the bolt after firing it could be a sign of overpressure. Primer condition is an indicator depending on which primer is used.

I’ve worked up two 130 grain/IMR4831 loads, and both had the sweet spot right at 56.5.

I use 59gr H4831 in a 270W. With a 130gr Hornady SST. Seems to me it was closer to 55gr with the imr flavour.

I think it's one of the best combos... IMR 56.4 and 130 grs....

57.3g IMR 4831. 130g Serra. I know it is a little above max in reloading manuals but groups tight and no signs of over pressure in Tikka M65. YMMV

Haven’t used IMR 4831 but have stellar results with 55.5 gr H4831 and 130gr. Also did a load on my son in laws 270W and it did better with 6.5 Staball, also at 55.5gr but this is with a Mag primer, mostly bc my supply of LR primers isn’t what it was a couple years ago.
