Does anyone have experience with SR 7625 in 9mm with 125 or 147 plated?
I've seen several references on BE and other forums indicating promise for minor loads but very little in that way of actual load data. Any help would be appreciated.

I have some down in the lockup. Would you like me to try it with some cast bullets? They should perform close to plated.

I have been wondering how it would perform as well, but just keep using W231 as it works well in my pistol. I also had some 700X and I really liked it,.... so much I used it all up.

7625 is a fabulous powder for medium power loads. Bulky, so is a bit safer than, say, TiteGroup.

here is my load data:

9mm 124 gr 4.1 = 950 fps
9mm 135gr 3.8 = VG 4.0 = 1035fps 4.4 = 1075 fps

40 S&W 180gr 4.0 = 650fps 4.4 = 790 5.5 VG

45ACp 200gr 6.0 =VG

230gr 5.6 VG

I have quite few pistols in each caliber. I found i could make an accurate load for each of them with 7625. It is bulky and meters well. Similar in speed to unique.

Ganderite the data is appreciated. Boolitcaster, if you ever do try 7625 please post your results.

Thanks to both of you. Have seen to odd favourable reference to this power but very little detail on actual performanace etc, guess I'll have to try it for myself.

I have used SR 7625 off and on for years. I quit using it when Titegroup came out but was given a real good deal on a12lb keg a couple of years ago, so I went back to using it. I use it in 9 mil, .38 sp., .357 mag., 32-20, .45 acp. and some .45 lc.,
If you want real low powered loads it's proably not the powder to use, titegroup seems to be more consistent with low case volumes.
One thing comparing sr7625 and titegroup is that 7625 will leave a lot more residue in the guns, requiring cleaning a lot more often.
