For those who care for "reduced loads", I'll add this data useing Imr Trail Boss powder. No "fillers" were used or harmed in the process nor reccomended..
Those that have used this powder know it as a powder made for mainly "cowboy action-shooting" and is for low velocity loads. "Trail Boss" is made of larger than average circular flakes with a hole in the center similar to "cheerios" cereal. It is very bulky for its weight compared to most all other powders.
A .223 case holds about 10 grains "T.Boss" filled to case top while you can get 20 to 25 grains of various other powders for "regular" working .223 loads.
The Hogdons/Imr site gives it a burn rate just slower than bullseye powder so its fast stuff....but for low velocities!
