Want to get my oldest daughter shooting, and was looking through the Speer #13 and noticed these reduced loads for .243 and 90grn spitzer & IMR4198, Just wondering if anyone had any experience with these loads? I want to try someting different, she's alittle recoil sencitive, with the small powder charge does it still recoil a bet, or would it be like a .222/.223Rem? Thanks for any in put!

4198 powder is much too fast for normal loads in the 243. However, this is exactly what you want in low velocity loads. If you have light loads listed in Speers manual for 4198, fly away at it. You don't need, or should you use, an ordinary persons word on it. Go by your Speers manual.
When using a fast powder, where a full pressure load may not half fill the case, you have to be extremely careful not to load a double load, or in some other way, increase the amount of the fairly fast powder.

PS - I guess I am "up," or is it "down," the road from you!
