The spring fuzzy white bear hunt in ontario
By D S Gilks

The dawn came early this fine april morning. as a begin my trek slowly into the wilds of the elusive fuzzy white bear i had been tracking for weeks now to no avail.
i slowly doned my hunting jacket and beging my adventure for the last and final week of the white fuzzy bear season. after having sppent the past weeks trying the spot and stalk as well as baiting with no success i was beging to become frustrated and decided to try something new so i remebered to bring my electronic fuzzy white bear call.
after having walked the better part of an hour i started seeing some prosperus signs that i might be in the right area, i continued skulking through the terain like a slug on a cold sunday morning when i happen to hear a slight crack and some quick scurrying in the brushes , i think to myself this is it this is where i want to be.
so after letting the bush settle in to my presence i begin the daunting task of setting up my blind, clearing a couple of shooting lanes and stratigicly placing the electronic fuzzy white bear call and begin playing it, all through the bush you could here the call echoing "this is the song lalalala, the elmo song lalalala" so i settle in with my trusty 303 and begin the endless wait.
after about 2 hours i begin to here a rustling of near the end of the far left shooting lane, could it be no not this soon. i just caught a glimpse of its fur as it begin its slow dart through bush checking out the area before comeing in to respond to the persuasive call. as i raised my wal-mart economax 10x50 binos to try and see just how huge this bear would be i noticed there were several color phase sub-species gathering in the end of that shooting lane i was in fuzzy white bear heaven for sure but the range was way to far and the shot could not be taken from where my blind was situated.
so i waited some more while intently watching the trophy bruin work its way slowly down the lane, finaly after about 2 hours of waiting the trophy was within range and my adrenilin was surging the sweat was beading on my forhead i knew this was it but was he going to give me that beautifull broadside shot or would i have to wait more. i decided to wait for it, slowly he walked in from 300 yrds after about 20 minutes of him sniffing around he made it to 150 yrds and i got a good chance to see just how big he was , he must have measured 4 inches ear to ear defintly a record for the fuzzy white bear.
well he finaly worked his way into 100 yrds and i could smell the light baby powder smell comeing off him and at this point my hands are trembleing with excitment i knew forsure this was gonna be the biggest trophy fuzzy white bear ever taken in ontario. i decide this is it now or never , so i shoulder my rifle take the saftey of and wait for that perfect broadside shot when all of a sudden the electronic call stopped i was thinking to my self oh no not now i will never get this shot again but then i relized its on repeat and relax as it started up again now the bear was starting to turn away as he was doing so it offered me the perfect shot and BANG. The whole world stoped for me right then and there my pamls were clenched tightly on the rifle as i watched the bear stumble away from the shot almost un fased, i am thinking no i hit him i had to have it was perfect
shot . then all of a sudden the bear jumped up into the air splayed out and let out this god awful screach and collapsed on the ground. thankfully he only made it about 25 yrds before dying. now i let my self calm down as i light up an ever need smoke and breath thinking to myself i did it i finaly bagged a trophy fuzzy white bear after finishing another smoke i step out of my blind and slowly walk over to this beautiful animal and relize its bigger then i thought and it will for sure score high.

**no real animals were harmed in the creation of this

Yes, but if you look closely at the first picture, the fuzzy bear looks rabid and maybe a threat to Tigger, Elmo or Signguy. Judging by the distance of Signguy's tent, he was mearly protecting himself from a rabid animal. Now, if it wasn't Elmo or Tigger and was Barney, I would of wounded Barney, so that the fuzzy bear could maul it.

Never eat purple popcicles......The're Barney's toes
