I am in need of a new lead furnace as my 10 lb Lee pot crapped out. I'm thinking I would like to go with a bigger pot, either the Lee Magnum Melter or the Lyman Big Dipper. Does anybody have any leads on where I may find either one of these in stock? All the "big" suppliers seem to be out of stock. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

I just got a lee pro 4-20 pot from Higginson Powders just before Christmas, I’d try calling them.

My 1st choice would be to patronize Higginson Powders in Hawksbury. Great service & they probably have the LEE 20 pound bottom pour casting pot in stock.

Do you know what went on your old pot?
If it was the thermostat and the heating element is still good then you could add a pid temp controller and give the pot a second life and upgrade.

Just watch out for the problem my lee 20 pound pot has. It’s electric plug allows you to plug it in “backwards”. Hot to neutral and vice versa.
If it is oriented incorrectly, 120v is on the chassis - it lit me up the other day!
Still worked fine but chassis was hot.
