In the market for a Mossberg 590a1 but not much luck finding one!

As the title says I'm looking for a Mossberg 590a1 - preferably the blackwater edition since it has the sights I'm looking for. The SPX has the same sights but I'm not sure I want to pay 200 bucks for a bayonet....

Wanstalls is stocking the SPX right now. The impulsive side of me says go buy it, so I can get one without much further trouble, but the practical side is telling me that is one darn expensive bayonet, and really I have no use for a bayonet!

I love the guys at Wanstalls but when the money's tight and money saved can buy ammo... got to point out that The Gun Dealer (CGN sponsor) has the SPX with bayonet for $30 cheaper. I've done business with both and they are great to deal with.

You can sell the M9 bayonet on the EE for about $150?

Not to mention the heavy ported barrel on the SPX that isn't on the blackwater. I picked my SPX from wanstalls this summer, and I love it. At the end of the day it's up to you if you want to wait for the blackwater or just go for the SPX. I wasn't a fan of the railed pump on the BW edition, seemed like it'd be painful to rack.

I'm pretty sure the blackwater has a heavy barrel on it too, not sure about the ported part though.... but yes I have heard that the tri rail grip can be painful when firing slug.

Still haven't found anyone with the Blackwater edition in stock. I wonder if any of the retailers will be getting any new ones in soon.

If the gun you are after has been deemed acceptable to the Firearms Police, then any decent importer should be willing to special order it for you.

Quick look... hmmm... 9 shot pump action should be a no brainer.

PS Ever hold a shotgun with 8 rounds, let alone 9? Damn heavy. & no, I can't imagine the weight of a 14 + 1 KSG.
