I am very happy with my Ziess Spotting scope. My buddies Swarovski is also nice.

I've looked through almost all of them, and these 2 (and the Leica) are still top choices.

Yup, what Gatehouse said. I prefer the Swaro personally but all three are good. Avoid the angled eye pieces like the plague. If the German glass is not in your budget, The Nikon Sporter II is impossible to beat in its price range. Lots of serious sheep hunters and guides use them.
