In what year did Colt first offer nickle as a finish option on their 1873 SAA?

Here's a qustion for the cowboys.

I'm trying to determine in what year Colt first offered nickle as a finish option on their 1873 SAA revolver? I'm thinking it was early on (if not from the start) but I was hoping that someone could be a bit more specific.

Mr. Meanea: According to Cochrane's Colt Peacemaker Encyclopedia the first known factory nickelled Single Action is #137 I think it was (already forgot) so I would say the answer to your question is: Colt nickel plated Single Actions from the beginning of production, or 1873.
