Incomplete 10/22 receiver for sale?

I think what he means is during manufacturing. the law says it cant be capable of firing. maybe don't machine the barrel bore would keep it legal. also don't try selling them here as its against the rules.

Well, it's Greentips' forum, he wrote the rules, and he says that it's not gonna happen here.

See the section that refers to home made firearms, "80%" kits, and dealers.

Pretty much sums it up.

Unlike in the US, there is no agency that draws a line as to 'when' exactly a block of steel becomes a firearm. Anyone with the investment in equipment that could build these incompletely machined recievers would be better off, and safer, to get licensed to build them completely and register them before the sale, saving themselves a whole lotta hurt when it came time to pay a lawyer.

did mention (in a thread somewhere here on CGN) that the rcmp will clarify soon what 80% is and a few other grey areas of the law
