Last week I went to the weekly evening sporting clays shoot at my club . My girlfriend wanted to come along .I said sure so off we went .now until a year ago she never held a gun that alone shot one . Late last summer after shooting my semi 12 I was lucky to pick up an old 1100 20ga with a shortened stock for her to shoot .now she has shot may be a dozen times and by all means is a novice .so last week on our second station she is in the shooting box and the presentation is a quarting away shot that leaves the trap some 30 yards to your left . She calls for the bird and doesn't see it until it is well out in front of her 40 plus yards she makes a wild swing on the target and pulls the trigger .the target now probley at 60 yards is a center hit in the pattern .myself and the four other guys in the squad are near in tears laughing . And can not beleive she actually hit the target at that distance . She turns to me and says I told you I can shoot far lol .
