Hey,
Recently I've come into temporary (will be selling) possession of an Ishapore No 1 Mk 3 Enfield, that seems to have been in service to the Indonesian Air Force, and was hoping to get some more information.
The rifle is a 1954 RFI No 1 Mk 3 Enfield, with nothing particularly special about it otherwise.
It does however have a brass? plate nailed to the buttstock, that reads SAU - CIE III and the number 3053, below it.
I've done a bit of research and identified it as being Indonesian Air Force, SAU means Senapan Angkatan Udara (Rifle for Airforce).
As to the rest of the numbers and letters, I've come up short.
Any info would be great.
-Thanks
