basically i hve both of them................ but i like the gas operated guns more..... the inertia operated guns kick more, bang more but less reliable in cycling lighter loads and u feel burning when ur inertia operated gun fails to cycle an easy over head shot and u feel ur gun as a dead horse d:h:,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, wat do u think nutz

For proper functioning the gas operated guns require a more thorough and regular cleaning, if you don't you'll get malfunctions that only start in the duck blind.

When everyone mentions that inertia guns kick very hard, do they mean in relation only to gas shotguns, or does the inertia create a kick that is harder than a pump of similar weight?

Not this sh*t again!

Inertia guns are lighter, faster and easier to maintain which means they lend themselves more towards hunting. Gas guns are softer, heavier and require more maintenance but excel when shooting high volumes. I like both, but each has its place.

Bingo ^^ I agree.

VoxxBoxx - The inertia system still sucks up recoil so it's less than a pump. I've only compared Beretta gas and Benelli inertia systems, and with the good hunting ammo, they both had a fair amount of felt recoil. They also both cycled 1oz loads fine too.

O RLY?!

Seriously, I like the gun that fits more then any other criteria.

the difference in recoil is negligable .. use the gun you like the most.

for me, thats inertia
not only recoil bt reliability too . if u have an inertia gun, some thing deep down in ur mind would b itching in every shot that gun would cycle or not . but nothing like that in gas operated

I really can't be bothered reading your crap. Does not typing the remaining 5% of the letters save you that much effort?

I've never tried an inertia gun, but I'd like to.

I have a Remmy 105cti (gas operated) and the recoil is almost non-existant.

I have a Beretta, 2 Remington 58's, and an old Winchester 50. It seems that the 50 barks and kicks a bit more. I love shooting the old 50. It is a real shotgun!:p I use the old autos for gophers.:D

And I agree that spelling and grammar count. Save the texting gibberish for texting. Please don't make us all suffer.

Geez, guys, don't be so hard on the noob. He's just trying to be cool. Do you know how hard it is to portray your pants hanging down to your knees in print?:p
