I want to mount a red dot, reflex preferably on a cooey foy my kids.

I'll need a base and will need to tap the cooey to mount the base.

I think NCStar may be the way to go. Any thoughts? or leads?

thanks

Yeah,...but...

I think what I am trying to say here is if you buy from a reputable dealer you should not be risking anything at all, no matter what the item might be.

Agreed, I have had a Ncstar red dot on my CZ858 for years with no issues....I was happy enough with it that i bought one for my JR carbine, when i picked up one of those a couple of weeks ago. No issues with that one as well. Are they as good as a $1200.00 optic? not a chance...but i payed $150.00 for red dot laser combo, and a flashlight with remote switch. Good value for the $ as far as i am concerned.

I have a red dot that I picked up a few years back..
It's a chicom I think but it works pretty good for a .22 and is fine out to 50M

I'm on oak and 33rd, not far from you... It's yours if you want it, no charge.

Leapers red/green dot ones are good. Get one that uses the 2032 cells you can buy at the dollar store. Stay away from anything plastic-bodied.

I'm looking at the same thing-so-what makes aren't plastic?
how are they for broad daylight shooting-I would be using one for shooting grouse at typical ranges under 30-40 yards

Here's some pics of the red dot from PBR.

He even managed to find a rail that fit this gun perfectly.

Now jr can shoot his own gun with a 'scope'. Dad's was too big for him.

Can't wait to get to our property to put it through it's paces.

PBR,... thanks again.

Hey pbr, that was one of the coller things I've seen on gun nut. Cuddos to you. To 4ptbuck never be afraid to change that out to an aim point micro some day for your kid he won't break and it may last him many many years and don't ever under estimate the value of kids having good gear. May you have many great years shooting with your son.
