I'm looking for a cheap red-dot for my 10/22. What do you guys recommend? What are the TRUGLO sights like? What about the Tasco Red-Dot? Also, on ebay, is there any difference between crossbow red-dot sights and those made for .22s? There isn't much recoil on the .22s so maybe they are interchangeable?

A couple years back, I picked up a red dot site for my 10/22 on ebay for like $20. It looks exactly like the Tasco one and works just fine.

Any of the above should work quite well on a .22.

I had a Tasco red dot and unless you are shooting at night it was pretty much useless as the do was near impossible to see even at max illumination. A lot of people trash on them, but NC Star has been pretty good for me for use on rimfires, would never drop one on a centerfire mind you.

For a couple of more $$ I put a Vortex Strikefire on my Browning rifle.
Comes with a 2x multiplier so it's pretty good value in the ~$200 range.
Returned a defective Barska to buy it.
