It's time for me to get a new cushion for my heine for sitting on the ground Turkey hunting. I have used the standard neoprene ones in the past. The other day I was at Sail and they have one that is basically a cell foam cushion with an air bladder in between. It has a check valve in it so you can deflate it to make smaller to carry in your pack and can blow it up to the desired level of comfort. Seemed very comfy but I'm leery as anything inflatable that I have used in the past, regardless of what it is, does not seem to last long...

Has anyone tried one of these and how does the bladder hold up over time?

My butt thanks you :D

I bought an alps outdoorz turkey chair. 250 capacity and comfy as all hell. Good enough for a good snooze. I can never find a good spot and always end up with a root up my ass.

I have a couple of turkey vests... they have built in seats and padded backs for leaning up against a tree..... so far my fave is cabela's tactical tat'r 2..... very comfortable...

I have been using little inflatable air cushions for 25 + yrs. Yep the odd time you puncha hole in one so you chuck it and get another. The good heavy duty ones are hard to find, but there usually available at camping type stores.

I have 4 or 5 of them, a couple of them are pushing 20 yrs old. I like them as like you say you can deflate them and put them in you pocket.

They best I have used and have been using for 15 years is a tube from a utility trailer about 4.45x12 or just big enough to cover both cheeks. Do not fill them full but leave about 1/2 full . Just like sitting on a lazy boy, the best of the best, in my books. Canadian Tire or home hardware have them...

I believe i have the same inflatable one mentioned in the origional post. Got it before last years deer hunt. so far has held up to the test. It's ability to deflate allows it to form to rocks and uneven terrain giving your arse a perfectly level sitting platform. but seriously, your back does get sore when you have to sit on a slant for hours at a time. It really does help level things out. keeps the old arse nice and warm to. even used it as a fourwheeler seat cushion as my leather is all tore and the foam was soaking wet from the night before :D.

Good to hear it won't become a whoopy cushion in the middle of the season :D Thanks CZ.
