Been searching .net for internals and controls for the G36 available in Canada....but meet with limited results.

Your advice?

The HK importer is RNicholls, so basically you're screwed there. You might try searching for a German shooting sports supplier, there are so few G-36's in Canada that there aren't really any parts suppliers that have parts available. Add to that the fact that the US Gov won't allow shipment of 'controlled' - what they call "no sporting use" parts to Canada, so US suppliers are out.
