My plan is to pop some song dogs this winter...I have access to about 300 acres of private land, river on one side and a 100 foot clay bank on the other....very nice area for sure.....I am leaning towards a 22-250,only cuase I had one last year and it was awesome....the 223 looks great to me as well.....the range will be anywhere from 100 yards on out to 400 yards plus.. (keep in mind, this is not to say I will be successful at this range, but damn it'll sure be fun)....I'm not trying to cause a debate between which is the better or a more accurate calibre or whatever, just looking for some varmint hunters opinions and experiences...I am able to reload as well,so ammo is not a real issue....
Please enlighten me as to any other calibre prospects that may fit the bill that I have not thought about......I don't want big "honkin" holes in the hide (thus my choice in the smaller calibres),my future father in law does up the hides and sends them to..well :? ....wherever he sends them to...somewhere down East I believe....anyway,thanks for all info and help and advice in advance....
