Hello All: Any info would be appreciated in regards to a Globco silver eagle 20ga. side by side. All is says on the reciever made in Spain. It is a beautiful little gun and appears to be well made. I've searched the net and can't seem to find out anything about this shotgun.
Thank-you's in advance for any replies!

Could've been a product from any of the numerous Basque gunmakers.....

I'm afraid it would be difficult to dig up data merely based on the info provided in your post. Some images, if you are able to share, displaying the stamps, proof marks on the barrel flats/water table etc should offer some insight into the sxs.

Thanks do much for the replies. The proof marks on the gun indicate is was manufactured by Ignacio Ugartechea. Like I stated, this is a beautiful little shotgun that is nicely engraved with a case hardened reciever. I think I have found a real treasure!

about Ugartechea

Ugartechea shotgun can be real gem. Here is part of of what Terry Wieland has to say about Uggies in his book : Spanish Best, The fine shotguns of Spain :

.. Through the 1950s and 1960 the company grew to become the third in the triumvirate of major gun makers in Eibar, along with Victor Sarasqueta and AYA… In The Shotgunner’s book Charles Atkins says of Ugartechea :While there are more than sixty arms makers in Eibar there are no more than a half-dozen who are really outstanding. Among these is the Ugartechea company” ”

… Ugartechea’s top-grade guns are characterized by an understated elegance , and are traditional in form, engraving and finish.

I am quite sure you will enjoy your uggies for many years to come

Thanks for the update. I've been through the Ugartechea operation in Eibar and met the guys in charge. They make a decent gun IMO, on par with similar guns from AyA.
