I have had an 870 for almost 16 years now, it was my first firearm, but I just used it as a tool without much regard to its history or modifiaction. I was surfing a webpage and bought one really cheap about an hour ago; it was cheap enough I did not think twice about it.
I have a few questions to ask of you guys:
1) Is there a webpage that gives some history on the shotgun?
2) Are the new "tactical" parts and barrels interchangeable with the 870s from early production? I bought it to make into a defensive rig (nothing better to do) and I want to know if parts from today will fit this one.
3) Where are some good places to get "tactical" parts for it? I am going to be looking for a stock, shell carrier, mag extension, etc.
