A couple of questions.
First off I am trying to develop a load for a T/C Encore in .270 using a Hornady 140 gr SST and H4831 powder can someone set me up with some load data in this combination?.

Secondly I am unable to get this particular bullet even close to contacting the lands of this rifle unless I go way over the max C.O.A.L listed in my Speer manual. Can I expect any reasonable accuracy from this bullet being so far back from the lands? or should I try a different style of bullet?

Thanks for your time,
Mad Mikey

For your load data: http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp

2ndly: This is obviously for a hunting rifle (based on your bullet choice) where you probably will not want to contact the lands with a bullet anyway. A round with a jammed bullet, if needing to extract the round, may leave the bullet stuck in the barrel...this would bugger up your whole hunting trip.

Thanks for the reply Cyan1de, I made sure I checked the Hodgdon site before I posted, and they have no load data for my bullet.

I am hoping someone could provide me some data from the Hornady manual.
caliber= .270 Win Bullet= Hornady 140 gr SST Powder= H4831
I am in interior BC and won't be able to get a manual for at least a couple weeks.

Thanks again,
Mad Mikey :)
