Info on .22 WRF ?

Nope. It's not like a .38 Special and a .357 Magnum where the only difference between the cases is the length(135 thou difference).
The case of a .22 Mag is nearly half an inch longer than a LR. The case diameter is 17 thou bigger. The rim is 6 thou thicker and 19 thou larger in diameter, the bullet is .224" as opposed to .223" for a LR.
The .22 Long case is much shorter. 637 thou shorter.

I don't believe that the poster is talking about a .22 Magnum, I believe he is talking about the old .22 Winchester rimfire. Now obsolete, it is not interchangeable......a .22 short or long may be a loose fit, but will usually not fire and if it does the cases will split. Someone recently made a run of this ammo but I don't remember who. If the poster is not talking about the .22WRF, he should be more aware of the gun/ammo he is about to use as this is a safety issue.

.22WRF is currently available in Winchester brand. CCI has also made it. Shooting a .22lr would likely result in split cases as Ben has suggested, because of the difference in diameters.

Thanks

Thanks for the info, it is the .22 WRF, not the .22 Mag, I was asking about.
I will try and find some CCI or Winchester and definitely will not use .22 long or LR.
