The Magpul MOE is probably a bit lighter, more ergonomic and you don't need any rail covers, etc. You can also add various accessories specifically for the hand guard: MVG vertical grip, MSA sling adapter, Illumination kits as well as various polymer rails. The other main reasons are cost (MOE will be cheaper), ergonomics and aesthetics (you can accentuate in different colours).
