Hi Everybody,

I bought a 12 guage over under from a buddy quite a long time ago,but recently decided to find out some info on it.I would say it is in very good to excellent condition. On the top barrel its stamped "FABRICA ITALIANA ARMI SABATTI-GARDONE VT.Beside the trigger it is stamped "Made in Italy".My understanding is it is a Sabatti shotgun made in the region of Gardone.Does anybody know anything else like how old,or approximate worth of such a gun? Thanks Guys

"Google" Sabatti Shotguns ....

The Sabatti family have been making firearms for years.

Italian firearms since about 1945 have had a manufacture year code stamped on them ... Roman numerals from 1945 -1975 and a two digit Alphabetical code from 76 to date. The code is normally found within a small rectangle and usually found on the barrel flats of a shotgun ... required by law in Italy ... date code required by the Italian Government Proof House.

Let me know what it is and I'll see if I can help.

P.S. Photos & a model number would be a big help for an inquiry
like yours. Otherwise it's like asking " I have an old Chevrolet made in the United States ... what's it worth ??? "
