Looking for information as the title states.

Questions include where can you get one in Canada or who could order one in and how much does it go for?

Anybody here have one?

Is it pretty much an FV or BV with a fancy stock?

Any sites or places I could read up about it as I can't seem to find it on the Savage site.

Any info would be awesome, thanks guys.

I haven't seen any last couple of gun shows,
but I know Frontier fire arms and a couple other dealers
had them last year, I kind of liked them, but the wood trigger
gaurd kind of turned me off.

A bit over the top for me. It looks like you need extra high rings to see over the fin tip, near the back of the stock.

The only difference between the MKII and a Mako is the stock, they both have the same barrel, action & trigger..... TNT Gun works in Regina has 2 in stock, they are closed mondays..... but they will ship it to you if you call them up.

I personaly didn't like the Mako's stock, it was built for someone else not for me.....

I have both the MKII and the 93R both black on black with heavy barrels..... I consider them to be the best value on the market today when looking for bolt-action rimfires.

Cheers

It is definitely a bench gun as its fairly soggy in weight. I can't remember if my Burris rings are high, or medium height... Actually they are high I think, and it was only for clearancing the scope, nothing to do with the stock. My 4-12 I had on it used the medium height. The gun fits me like a glove. I actually like the stock, and I can't help it but I like the appearance. I bedded my action and added a 6-24x on it and have been having alot of fun shooting it. Savage rimfire rifles offer amazing accuracy.

Well I really like the idea of it being a bench gun because I only plan on using it for target shooting. Any ideas if these are hard to come by as they were made in limited production? I noticed one of the site sponsors frontier firearms has them listed on their site as well. Thanks for all the input so far guys, much appreciated

I was actually thinking of getting one of these in 17HMR. The look is unique, a definite head turner on the range. Then I handled one in Pro-Line while up in Calgary. Hmmmm.........kinda glad I didn't get one. The weight wasn't an issue, balance wasn't too bad, but it was short on the LOP. A good inch, maybe more, shorter than my R17-BV. Just didn't feel right to me.

(E)

I am a small build with shorter arms and smaller hands so I think I would like a little shorter LOP. Plus with the little experience i have with firearms I won't have anything to compare it too haha.
