Benelli s/s
Hi rude awakening. I bought one last month, i use it for clays and have only put 200 target loads through it. Its a beautifully made gun,it has a little more recoil than a rem auto. As people say it is much easier to clean than a gas operated shotgun, i just pull a snake through the barrel once or twice and then just wipe out the receiver. Mind you i dont find cleaning gas operated is a chore.
There are several people at our club that own them which led to a problem for me. Last sunday, when i got home and was cleaning up, i noticed one of my new chokes had paint on it. While in the gun racks, somehow chokes got switched, i ended up with 2 imp cyl and no sheet choke. That got sorted out. The bottom line is they look alike.
The only negative thing i could say, is the chokes are marked with tiny stars which are very hard to see. Mine are now all colour coded with paint.
I would recomend the s/s for competition. Hope this helps.
