info on Win 1895, 38-72cal

I have recently acquired an 1895 Win. in 38-72 cal and with the gun came some ammo of which only one cartridge was an original 38-72 the others are Norma 9.3X74r. They look identical and am wondering if they should be ok to shoot or should i get some reloaded for this gun. I know it is an antique(very low 4 digit ser#) but it is in great shape and looks as if it would be fun to shoot. Any info would be appreciated thanks.

you can make 38-72 brass casses useing 9.3x73R but the 9.3 is way to small for the .378 bore in the 38-72 the 9.3 is a .366
