Info please Maverick O/U

I am thinking of trying a little trap
as always budget is tight
First of all i have looked around on info for this shotgun
it lists 3 inch chamber now does that mean it can fire 2 3/4 also
sorry noob qestion i know.
Other than that does anyone have info or experience with this firearm
Great price but don't know a thing about it
But have had good experiences with mossberg
Didn't want to start with a pump action

A shotgun chambered for 3" can also fire 2-3/4" shells.

With regard to the Maverick quality I will have to defer to others who have seen or handled one.

For trap you only load and shoot one at a time (unless you are shooting doubles) so a pump gun is not a handicap. You would really be better off with a slightly used, older Remington 870 Wingmaster.

I'm not familiar with the firearm, but, inexpensive shotguns won't stand up to clay target shooting volumes. If you shoot 50 targets once every couple of months, then fine. I don't care to think about the number of new clay shooters that spend good money on an inexpensive shotgun and have it fail on the line after some months. You are better off to buy something used in good condition. Make sure it is in good condition, as it is pretty easy to spend $400 to $800 real quick for repairs to a worn shotgun.
