Picked up a SAVAGE SPRINGFIELD bolt action 30/30 model -840 -
it was drilled and tapped for a side mount . I think a weaver is what will fit , any ideas? where can i get one? do they still make them?
there are 4 holes for base
1 pair 3/4" apart then 1.5" away another pair 3/4" apart. over all distance from outside screw - screw is 4"
it has just under a 20" barrel , 3 shot removable mag , nice crisp trigger,fantastic little bush gun, perfect for my 14 year old.it loves hornady leverevolution 160 gr.but I know it will get even better with a scope.I'm sure there are some guys laughing reading bolt-30/30 ( it doesn't say mag. anywhere) but its a shooter.
