Hello everyone...
I am wondering if there is someone out there with an older mini-14GB (not the new ones with no lug) who would not mind measuring the distance between the front of the flash hider to the begining of the bayonet lug and posting the measurement here?
The reason I ask is I'm making up a bayo lug/front sight combo to convert my new .625 barreled minis into GB clones and I need to know exactly how far back to pin the front sight/bayo lug sleeve. I can't remember if the bayonet ring is supposed to attach to the front of the flash hider or further back...
What would be even better would be a picture showing the bayonet attached to the gun with specific attention to the bayonet ring on the flash hider.
The lug/sight assembly has been made with an m14 sight type dovetail, allowing use of an M14/M1A style sight. They're being run off in the CNC machine shop right now and I'm excited to get them on my project guns!
